For an affiliate platform, an affiliate manager is an interface between merchants and affiliates. His role is more important when a merchant delegates his program management. He advises merchants for the setting up and the management of their programs, promote the programs to potential affiliates, monitors results and handles fraud. Within an affiliate network the affiliate manager is also called account manager.
An affiliate manager can also exercise his functions directly within an ecommerce company.
