Alliance for Audited Media is the new name - the change was made in Nov. 2012 - of The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) founded in 1914.
Originally it was -as its old name implies - dedicated to press and magazines circulation measurement. The name has been changed to take into account digital platforms measurement.
Audited figures are used for gaining trust and showing publishers’ value to agencies and advertisers.
