What is Blind ad network definition ?

A blind network is an ad network that don’t let advertisers knowing where (or on which publishers’ websites) their ads are displayed.

Blind networks often offer advertisers low rates for remnant inventory that they bulk-buy at low cost. They can also resell inventory on a performance basis (CPC, CPA, CPI,..).

The blindness is the most often due to publishers that dont want to reveal to the market that they are actually back-filling their inventory with network advertising available to advertisers at a much lower cost than trough direct sales.

Some ad exchanges can also be considered as blind networks.

The use of blind networks can rise brand safety issues.
