What is Brand newsroom definition ?

A brand newsroom is a place and team where marketing and advertising decisions are taken and implemented in real-time during important events.

For big companies, a brand newsroom includes company marketing managers and agency representatives and sometimes advertising media representative.

A brand newsroom allows marketers to react in real-time and to capitalize upon buzz generated by an event. Social media and especially Twitter are mainly used for real-time marketing undertaken by newsrooms due to the second screen phenomenon and because creatives are quickly implemented for native advertising. Theoritically, ad exchanges and email marketing may also be used for real-time marketing from brand newsrooms.

The brand newsroom concept was probably largely publicized for the first time during 2013 Super Bowl whith brands like Oreo and Tide newsjacking the blackout on Twitter.
