What is Copycat definition ?

In the digital economy context, a copycat is a website which copies a new promising business idea or model.

Each new model seen as a promising one meets copycats. Thus, subscription commerce has recently seen the worldwide emergence of hundreds of copycats.

Copycats can be created as an exact copy, a copy in a new sector / category or in a new country.

US pioneers are frequently imitated in other countries before considering international development. In the past, "new economy" pioneers have often had to buy or compete foreign copycats to expand in international markets.
