What is Max initial load file size definition ?

The max initial load file size is an element of ad specs referring to polite loading.

In accordance with IAB guidelines, polite loading is generally imposed by publishers when a flash ad file exceeds 40 KB (or other threshold according to formats).

In ad specs, instructions relating to initial load file size are completed by other instructions relating to subsequent files loading (subsequent polite file and subsequent user initiated file).

IAB guidelines recommend 40 KB as max initial load file size for Universal Ad Package, but it may vary slightly according to publishers and formats.
