What is Price floor definition ?

A price floor is a minimum price set up by a publisher on an ad exchange for a given ad placement / format. Theorically, there is no sale below the price floor.

Publishers can set different price floors against specific DSPs, advertisers, agencies, and ad networks to prevent channel conflicts.

If no bid matches the price floor, ad space is used for in house ads, bartering, floating, special sale agreement or even public-service ads.
