What is Server-side ad insertion definition ?

Server-side ad insertion refers to an ad serving process mainly used for video ads.

With server-side insertion the video creative is "seamed" to the video content at the content provider level and not at the user video player level. Thus, video ads are fully integrated in the main video file that supports ads.

Server-side ad insertion is a way to prevent ad blocking and to solve ad delivery issues tied to device fragmentation.
