What is Session depth definition ?

Session depth refers to when an ad is displayed to a web user during a website visit.

High session depth may be an issue in digital advertising as it is considered that there is a correlation between user’s session depth and ad response rate. Click rates decline when many pages and ads have been viewed by a visitor on a given website.

Session depth is especially an issue for RTB inventory on ad exchanges because ad impressions may be delivered within high session depth after direct sales orders have been fulfilled, because of private deals for first impressions, or to be due to low level bids.
