What is Tag piggybacking definition ?

Tag piggybacking can have two meanings in tag management.

The more common meaning refers to the use of a single container tag (also called universal or master tag) which redirects to other additional tags that are not placed directly on the site.

Tag piggybacking is commonly used in tag management systems, but if not tightly controlled, it may raise data leakage issues.

The term is also used for third party tags which have two different fucntions. For instance, a tag dedicated to track conversions of users based on their cookies can also add those cookies to a remarketing list.
